Does the Atlanta use an offset header or what other pattern planes use the off set to go around the nose gear reason im asking I just came across I believe is an Atlanta but not sure and he has a Summit 1 too said he would take 100 bucks for both of them has YS that is seized and what looks like MK retracts

Yes, the Atlanta uses an offset header. I believe the Hatori Aurora or Cosmos header may be very close, the problem may be the amount of 'drop' as the Atlanta had a very tight fitting belly pan compared to the Aurora or Cosmos.

Of course Don can mail you a wing core set in the morning. Mine set was very well cut. No need to wait months and months from other providers.

Hey Jetmech43,

Don goes by Frequent Flyer, here on RCU. He is making quite a few classic pattern planes available for us, including the Atlanta. His craftsmanship is outstanding.

Good luck with your Atlanta.

David

Pictures Please!!!

You should be able to get a YS check valve from YS Parts and Service (pn: YS0405)

http://www.ysengines.net/support/parts/

Since you have it apart I would (personally) put a set of bearings in it...

A little problem with the YS60 is that the gasket sets are not available any more so you will more than likely have to make your own, unless you can find someone has a set laying around...Not that big of a deal though...Good thing is the diaphragm, spring, plunger, needle valve/seat and carb o-rings are still available...I'd personally order a set of those and replace everything while I had it tore down...

I attached a copy of the manual in case you need it...

Good Luck with your Atlanta!!!

Dhall22,
I had to laugh out loud when I read your comment. I was thinking the exact same thing as I read Chuck's post. I guess great minds think alike..............

Hey Chuck, it is great to see you back in the Classic Pattern Forum, Buddy.

Jetmech43,
By all means, please post some pictures. An Atlanta in almost any condition is a thing of beauty.

David
