I was wondering if this Charger can Charge at 6 AMP's Per-Port or if it is like the Hitec Charger's where the high the Voltage the pack has the less Amp's it can put out.

I will be using the HobbyKing XD-6 to Charge 4 14.8 Lipo's at a time and I would like to be able to Charge them at 5 Amp's each all at the sametime.

It says 6amps per port and 60w per port.

If charging 15v lipos the max amps you can use per port is 60w/15v= 4amps.

Power (w) = volts (v) x amps (a).

I think HK have a 400w x2 port charger. Not sure what its max amps per port is.

All the best

From what I'm seeing from the way you figured out the Amp's the XD-6 can put out that would mean the XD-6 can charge Pack's faster then the HK Quattro 4X6s Correct.

Check oout these links and tell me if I'm correct.

Yes correct. But neither are particularly powerful chargers.

I you have 6000mah (6amp) batteries you can only just charge tem at 1c with the first charger. Many lipos can be charged at higher rates- especially u you stay in the hobby long enough.

I would get a slightly more expensive turnigy 400w- possibly even the dual port one or even get parrallel chargin boards:

It's funny that the XD-6 Cost's less then the HK b6 Quattro Charger and yet the HK XD-6 can supply more Amp's.
