Saturday contest. All CPA classes to be flown.
Sunday- no pressure fly-in. Alternate day for contest if Saturday gets blown out.
Location: AVTI field, Lancaster, Ca. Tony F CD.
Mike and Jean Greear have volunteered to do scoring.

I can try and get up with my Kaos - I've been trying to get to a contest and this one is pretty close - My last contest was in 1980...

Status: offline 		I've decided that we will go ahead and hold the Classic Pattern Contest at AVTI on November 10th and 11th. It's more about promoting Classic Pattern then a huge turnout, so let's get together and have some fun!

All classes of CPA will be flown. Novice, Sportsman, Advanced and Masters. As is usual at these meets, you're encouraged to fly a Classic Pattern model. But if you have a modern ship that is at least in the spirit of a Classic design your OK to fly it.

Saturday will be the actual contest. We will fly as many rounds as possible. Sunday is intended to be just a fun fly, get together type day. We can do some comparing and maybe I can do some critiquing of flying and checking the trim on anyone's model. If Saturday gets bad weather, we will have the contest on Sunday.

Hope as many as possible can make it out! Should be a fun weekend! You can get more info on the AVTI field at www.avti.org.

Man I always loved the lines of the Phoenix 8 - My uncle had one with a K&B .61 pumper - But I was a poor high school kid flying my Bridi Super Kaos with an OS 40 FSR back in the day...

Awesome, Don. I'm changing some aileron stuff on my Tipo and finally finishing the paint and trim.

Status: offline 		I Headed off to the Basin for some quality time with the Vertigo II after work. I look down the flight line, and who do I see? Pattern Buds!!!

Chris McMillin (Stuntflyr) and his Tipo as well as his Osiris. Next to him is Don Carlson (Frequent Flier) with his Kaos that he debuted at Camarillo back in May. Also in attendance- Steve Lampert with his two-meter.

Needless to say, a great time was had by all. See ya'all at Lancaster!!!
