Status: offline 		I do not break in the engines for car use. I just run them under load and not exceed 1/2 throttle for 10 tanks. I have a Traxxas 2.5R that has 15 gallons of Omega 15% fuel run through it and counting. All this "heat cycling" of the engine is a ridiculous waste of time. The only time I will heat cycle an engine is if it has a Meehanite piston running in a steel liner. This will allow the piston growth to stabilize. I have several TRX 2.5's, an OS .18 and a HPI (toki) 3cc engine and I have given them all the same treatment and all are performing well. My 2.5R with 15 gallons and counting has no pinch now but I still can run out a full tank on my T-Maxx without the engine stopping. Don't worry about break in, just avoid over lean conditions and don't exceed 1/2 throttle for at least 10 full tanks of fuel. true ABC engines use a high silicon content aluminum piston which is a low expansion alloy.

Status: offline 		Well its been awhile since i've posted i have been having alot of fun w/ my os crv.15. i did the break in as recomended by fuelman that i found on this site. the motor is great!!. it starts 2nd pull, has lots of power, and i have no problems. what a diffrence from the stack crappy hpi .15. now its time to save my money and get some upgrades. a 2 speed tranny and a tuned exhaust are on my list to santa. thanks every one for the great advice. it is good knowing there are guys out there who are willing to help with good advice for any  problems. happy motoring to all!!!!!
