Has anyone suggested an ARF Airframe Salvage thread. Idea came to me as I was picking the bones of a BH 60 size P-40 which I totaled. Pilot error. Beautiful day, no wind, got it too slow on landing and added power to go around, but too late, it started torque rolling to left, I corrected with right rudder, it snapped right and cart wheeled down the runway leaving a trail of debrie. Oh well. Totally destroyed to right wing, broke off the nose and tail. Left wing is totally undamaged. (NOT TRYING TO SELL, WILL GIVE AWAY FOR SHIPPING COST).

Left over undamaged parts are:

For BH 60 size P-40:

Left wing
Right flap
Ruder and verticle Stab.
Elevators and horizonal Stab.
Wing tube
Canope/hatch cover

Anyone who wants some or all can have for shipping cost.

On the other hand, does anyone have a fuslage and right wing for this plane?

Over the years, I have listed "basket cases" and sometimes whole airframes for free, in the 'classified' area of RCU with good results. Many modelers who have had a well liked plane go in, will look for a replaced there, and listing parts gets responses as well.

Just my thoughts based on personal experience and not trying to shoot down the thread idea.

This is a great idea which could prove quite helpful to some, as I am in the process of building a profile model around a set of almost perfect Katana wings that came from a friend's model that crashed.
