i cant get to the track fo another week or so. with that said, take a look at the pic. how do you think this or any other buggy would perform with these wheels & tires, as opposed to, regular buggy wheels & tires? if you cant view the pic i tried to attach to this post, check out the vorza in my gallery....

the talons are kinda stiff with the small sidewall arnt they?

striaght line grip should be higher, but im not so sure those tires on the front will provide any better grip in the turns.

It looks awesome. I hope it works but I can't say for sure. I run talons on my emaxx and one stampede, love them for bashing. I was once beat on the track by a guy running talons, but he was a better driver then me so i cant say for sure it was the talons, he might have won with buggy tires. But I did not beat him so we can say the talons did not make him worse off, that was for sure.

It looks cool. But I never really liked how the Talons gripped, but maybe that was just me and/or where I bashed at.

The Talons are absolutely terrible for anything but street running. They are hard with short side walls and offer almost no grip. I’ve had the stock set on my Stampede for YEARS and they show almost NO wear.

If you plan to run this around on the street or in a field then you have the right tire. If you plan to run on a track it’s a bad combo..

I will admit it looks awesome..

Honestly if you plan to race the buggy you are going to be better off with a standard set of buggy wheels and tires. They are smaller, lighter and there are a ton of options for different tracks.

I have no idea what wheels those are so I don’t know their size. I do know the Talons are 2.8 so my only recommendation in 2.8 is the Proline Bowties. I’ve had great success with Bowties on buggies and SCT’s and they look good which seem to be what you are after.

If you want they look then stick with the wheels you have and put the Bowties on it for some performance. If you want max performance get a soft set of buggy tires and mount them on standard buggy rims.
