    Could anyone tell me how the legacy (with the good old carb) Irvine .53 compares to the OS .55 AX ?

    I Have 6 or 7 Irvine 53s UK made, all with Davis Diesel heads, in over 10 years not one problem ever martin

    Not really, and the new Irvines are made by OS (OSVINES) anyway. I have a nice collection of original English Irvines and I could never part with any of them.

    Tower used to sell the Irvines really cheap years ago. Just Engines in England had them last time I looked..... probably the OSVINES like you said nowadays.
