I am looking for the Company that produces the 96 inch wing span F-86. I can't seem to find it

Any help is appreciated.

I know that Skymaster and Fly Eagle both have a large F-86 but I was pretty sure there was a 96 inch span one out there.

Thanks

Hey joe,
If this is the one you are looking for then it is a plane that is/was designed by Shalish Patel and you would have to try and get in contact with him to see if he would make one for you. This one is owned by my good friend Patrick Frost, but he has let me fly it a number of times and it flies really nice.

Guys Tomahawk are close to launching a huge F86, it is going to be totally scale from what I was told at Jetpower, I believe the scale is around 1:3, testing is about to start on the completed airframe and I understand the kit will be available mid 2013 subject to all the tests going to plan.

Being a Tomahawk kit it will be beautifully made, light and superb to fly.

Thanks for all the reply's.

I have seen the Shalis Patel Giant F-86 and it is a beautiful bird. The Skymaster F-86 is about 92 inches and I may have thought it was the at 96 inches.

Does any one have any more info on the Skymaster and how well it fly's lands? Has anyone used the leading edge slats at any time during a flight?

Thanks
Joe Lewis

Hopefully those who do build one will build it to the 'right' weight to make it fly as it should

Yes, getting that wing loading up helps them fly much more scale. I think the problem is they are built to get under the national weight limits and end up floating round like thermal soarers.

The one pictured above weights in at around 75Lbs at takeoff and it flys very scale like.

The Patel flys very scale. It is 96"...Skymaster is 90" I believe. I had 2 of the Patels and they were done museum scale. Problem is the kits are $20K!! Only 20 were produced. (I do know where there is a kit available). About a year to build too! Beautiful when done!
Patrick's is beautiful!! I know the builder!!
