Status: offline 		Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has done or thought about doubling the size of one of those tower hobbies fun fly 51's. What would the difference be between the way the bigger plane would fly compared to how the regular plane flies, what size motor would you use. Is there any reason (harmfull or dangerous) you can think of that would cause you not to build a double sized fun fly 51.

Status: offline 		Interesting. I have one built from plans, one scratch built into a Twin Mustang and one with 51" wingspan, retracts and Saito .82. The rg version flys like a pancake when the gear comes up. If I were to do the larger one again I would reduce the wing cord and lengthen the fuse a bit. It would be a much more stable plane.

The Twin Mustang is the most stable of the three versions. Consider doing a build thread if you enlarge one, I for one would be interested in just how it flys.
