I snapped these pictures in a highway tunnel south of Zurich…       in my dreams.

Once again, inspired by a picture of real tanks, I made an odd accessory for my RC tanks.  An orange safety vest for those times when a tanker has to dismount his noble steed and deal with civilian cars and trucks.

Those look great. When I first saw the title, I was expecting a story from Don lol.

Cheers

The safety vest is made from orange plastic surveyors tape.

I cut a strip long enough to go around the scale figure’s waist, then cut out some “U” shapes for the arms.  I then glued on a piece in the middle and at a right angle to the other piece with CA glue.  The “U” cut outs should be on the same side as the piece you glue on.  This becomes the back piece so cut up the middle just enough to go over the shoulders.  At this point I wrapped the figure in wax paper to keep glue off the little dude.  I had to glue it together on the guy so the wax paper keeps the CA glue from sticking to the dude.  Trim the hole for the head and then dress him and glue the shoulder straps on to the front.  When the glue dries, remove the wax paper.

I painted the reflective stripe on it before I put it on the dude.  The flags I made with my home printer.  The plastic tape seems to glue well and hold paint well so this idea could be adapted to make other garments, enhancing the look of any diorama.

Simple, cheap, and something unique.

And I have the only one in the world…   HA  HAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Perhaps a story involving a goose and some tanks...

Great idea.

The vest, or a story about a goose and some tanks?

Thanks.     One of these with a Maple Leaf on it would look cool with that nice Leo you just put together.
