Zor - good catch - you're right about that. Em, yet another mystery "feature" of the RCU forum software ... (in the software industry bugs are called undocumented features - not bugs ).

Back to topic - what is a sound system?

Hello Waconut,

I restpectfully suggest that YOU look again.

The thread "sound system" has the "head icon" that I have posted in that thread "sound system" but it shows 0 (zero) reply in that thread. The zero is in red color.

When that listing appeared I had not yet posted in that thread.

Zor

P.S.: Concerning sound sytems I am aware that some system(s) do exist. I have no idea where to find it (them) now nor the cost.

End

SeamusG,

I concluded, correct or not, that he is referring to a sound system that can be used with relatively silent electric powered models to make them sound like having the sound of full size aircraft engine(s).

A long time ago I came across such a system so I know that someone made such a system for sale.

Maybe I am blind but I see you posted in the 1/4 Balsa USA pup thread and not this thread. The listing shows Zero replies and the OP as the last poster.

Yes and it also shows the "head icon" that I had posted in this thread while I had NOT"

You can see that "head icon" very well in my attached picture of my monitor display.

If I had posted as the icon shows (and I had not at that time) then the red 0 shuld not be there.
It should show at least a 1 (one).

May be, But
In Zor's 1st post(post #2 of this thread) he pasted in the screen shot. The Screen shot does not indicate he posted in thsi thread. He posted in the Balsa USA thread at 6:38pm on 10/5.
This thread is right below it and Zor's name is nowhere on it and it say's "0" replies. This is a whole lot about nothing.
See the attachment. I circled the area that shows his post. The post below does not indicate a posting.

See the attachment. I circled the area that shows his post. That post has nothing to do with "sound system thread  on the following line. The post below does not indicate a posting.

Yes it does with the presence of the "head icon"

WacoNut,

I cannot define your difficulty.

Yes I posted in the thread "Balsa USA 1/4 sopwith pup" which is the line above "sound system" in my display of my monitor. That post had nothing to do with the line below (in the monitor display).

The line below is "Sound System".
That line clearly shows a "head icon" which means I have posted in that thread while it also shows 0 reply in red in the next column.

If it shows zero reply then it cannot (should not) show the "head icon" that means I have posted.

That is so simple to understand and has nothing to do with the line above (the sopwith pup thread).

I hope this is the end of this conversation which is becoming _ _ (censored) _ _  _ _  _ _

Zor

Ok, moving on.

Are there any suggestions for a cost effective sound system?

The simplest way is to google- R/C sound systems. There are several that will come up from Ram to private individuals.
WacoNut, your wasting your time. It's more about the ability to argue and continue the argument.

Hell no!!!!!!!! Not like a glow or a gas!

It sounds like a Merlin, a Continantal, a LeRhone, a turbo prop:-) Not like my gas powered models at all...

Google Canada rc model sound board and you will get to the source. Check the videos with sound samples.

It depends. How much does your airplane cost?

This is one of the good systems

http://www.modelsolutions.ca/

Go to the "Gallery" and check out the videos of the kind of aircraft you are interested in...
