I have a DLE 30 gas and 2 of the bolts that go into the prop hub are broken off. I have ordered replacements but how do I remove the old hub from the shaft. I may be able to grab both the shaft and hub and twist them off but will that damage the key. Also if that works how do I tighten down the new shaft and hub?

Here are the new parts http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000393890&I=LXYUT9&P=K

There is a nut/shaft that you have to unscrew. then the hub slides off. If you look at the parts you ordered you can see the nut I'm talking about.

Remove the prop shaft by attaching an old prop or hand made tool (using prop bolts) to hold the hub while loosening the prop shaft. Then use a gear puller to pull the hub off. Or use a prop drilling jig to pull it off. After that installing the new one is the easy part. One thing is for sure, the hub does not just slide off after the prop shaft is removed.

You have two threads and have already resolved the issue on the other one. Nice. Now I know why I never go on RCU anymore.
