Thanks for sharing, and CONGRATULATIONS!

And most skillful of you to keep two Moki's running well at the same time

Is not the "underpowered" perception at least partially a result of the large scale?

For example, if the same engine(s), the same prop(s) pull a 1/5 scale plane, it will LOOK faster than a 1/3 scale going the same speed.

I guess slower "scale speed" could have an adverse effect on airfoil and lift on such a heavy model, also.

Wow, I have been waiting a long time to see that ! I am so glad the pilot didn't panic at his full payload takeoff, a nervous person might not have made it to altitude..

Great job, hope they can get a bit more power out of it..

Appearently you are not familiar with Merlin Graves, Jeff Quiezenberry, Carl Grubacher, Paul LeTurnau, or Mac Hodges. These fine modelers push the weight envelope

You got two of those five names correct! And those guys do build them big, as you say, but no where near that big!
