Colin Gontier -> East Anglia Jet Fest (10/7/2012 6:26 PM)

Blue skies and light winds in the UK this weekend brought a few of us out for what turned into a bit of a Jet Fest. A truly fantastic days flying ensued on Saturday with plenty of banter. It would appear twin boomed gorgeous looking jets were banned for the day although Deano managed to sneak in his Kingcat. Great flying by everybody!

More... Deans Airworld Panther and my Skymaster Phantom. I've got to say I'm really enjoying flying her She's like a beast that you need to show who's boss but very satisfying to fly.

Yes was a great weekend we flew again today with more local club members in attendance , fantastic pictures, I am very pleased you are enjoying the F4 I also know what you mean about being a satisfied with the qualities of a dirty bird. :-) she looks like a real stunner in the pics. Was great to see so many nice scale aircraft and so many flights put in without incident , deanos new cat looked and flew like he had owned it a life time. Magnificent . Lets look forward to more weather like this, ......
Regards Mark H.

Vinceyboy -> RE: East Anglia Jet Fest (10/12/2012 8:20 AM)

Yeah, great photos Colin, and I must say that the Phantom is one of my favourit military jets, it just looks mean, along with Deano's Panther and Mark's F86, a great line up of some cracking models. (Lucky you didn't have my Boomers there to spoil line up[:D])

Gutted I could not make it, lot of sorting to do after my van was off the road for two months but hope to get my act together soon and spoil the peace and calm up there "IF" we get anymore sensible weather[:@] (You know you've missed me Mark[:D])

Colin Gontier -> RE: East Anglia Jet Fest (10/12/2012 9:52 AM)

Is there an event this weekend? I'll be staying in Bedford for the weekend and have some time to kill. Though I would try to find some jet flying to watch.

Ali -> RE: East Anglia Jet Fest (10/12/2012 3:30 PM)

Hi Paul.
There is a LMA ( Large model ) event on at a field called Baldock which is just north of Steveange. Maybe 20-30 Mins away from bedford. I dont think there will be many jets attending, but I should be there with a few, and I know quite a few of the club members have jets.
Regards Al

Colin Gontier -> RE: East Anglia Jet Fest (10/12/2012 5:22 PM)

Ali do you have to have a big one to attend Baldock or would I be OK to come? [:D]

Dave Wilshere -> RE: East Anglia Jet Fest (10/12/2012 5:40 PM)

Already emailed Paul details.

I would think a Nano would be fine !

Dennis - I hope so - I've had some of the best fun of my life with my little Nano. As soon as she breaks ground she goes vertical and its 8 minutes of non stop fun from there [:D]

Just to clarify. Its a large model do but not an LMA do so you don't have to be an LMA member to fly at the event.

Its a cracking site though and look forward to seeing some of you there

We're hoping to give the gnat a little blast!

Oh, and bring a foamy warbird if you have one for the carnage slot! ( an organisers words, not mine!)
