I have been into fast electrics for a while and am eager to make the switch to nitro. I have a 30inch (75cm) semi deep V hull lying around that im currently in the process of converting to surface drive.

If anyone could shed some light on what prop/engine combination would suit this set up id greatly appreciate it. Ideally I would like the boat to be capable of 50mph.

Status: offline 		I would start out with an OS .18 or a Nova Rossi .21 for that size hull. To go bigger than the .21 is asking for problems in keeping the boat on the water

Status: offline 		Aaron Alberico is the Australian Novarossi distributor. Contact him for a .21 Novarossi and he can suggest props. Novarossi has a number of .21 options.

Status: offline 		If your wanting to run 50mph+ I would stay away from the .18's unless you have it seriously modified. Massive Mods is the Go Engine dealer in Australia and does Really nice work from what I hear.

Status: offline 		If you run a surface drive with a good 21 size engine I would start with a 440 3 blade, then move up to a 1614 chopper if the engine can turn it. A NR should pull it no problem, even the Go 21 motors will run well in a mono.
