I am getting tired of constantly having to touch up paint the wingtips on my warbirds. Maybe if I was a better pilot I wouldn't be scraping them on landings all the time. Just wondering what other guys are using as wing tip anti scuff material. I have looked at the dubro plastic wing tip skids, but they just don't look great sticking out on the tips of the underside of your warbird. Wondering if there might be something that could be used a little less obvious than those plastic triangular skids. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jon

You could build in a couple of deep hard points front and back...then drill 1mm holes, 1-2cm deep at say 45deg oposites.
Use a longer length of 1.5mm carbon fiber rod, insert it in each hole.
Because it's over length it'll naturally form a bow that'll stay inplace and protect the tips.
Remove for static.
Or build in a single deep hard point on the spar/tip and insert a thin piano wire whisker.
Remove it for static.

Use Z-Poxy Finishing Resin to brush on four ounce fiberglass cloth at the edge of the wing tips on the bottom. You can just see it in this image and no one except yourself will know it's there. Dan.
