Like it or hate it, gotta give redcat some credit for trying something different.

Status: offline 		1st pic I thought they were making a go-kart for a second due to the positioning of the guy in the background

looks interesting... had a similar idea for a real vehicle to drive many years ago wanted to graph a motorcycle rear to the front end of a light car. Never got any farther than a rough sketch seeing I lack the means to actually make it.

wonder how much it will cost

I see the exhaust pipes but where does the engine fit?

thought it was 3wd thought I could faintly make out axles in the front just wasn't sure.(also looking closer I see the belt goin up front now)
diff case might have been obvious, but I've seen some RWD's that used diff cases in the front cause the parts were off another RC (the 1/16th scale gravedigger is one of such RC's)

just wish it wasn't belt drive

You did not want belts because of the risk of stones and stuff? I also noticed it has some mudguards/fenders (?).

yup
By me even the little bit of paved surface that is remotely useable I've never seen it pebble free I always see little pebbles even after sweeping that would eat a belt.

Status: offline 		here are to other models coming soon. While not as "outthere" as the 3 wheel batmobile thingy, they are a bit different for redcat.

A 1/8 desert buggy(might have to get this one), and a belt driven 4wd car with liscenced body.

The 1/8 desert buggy is more my style and is something I would consider purchasing.

I was surprised to see a licensed body from redcat. The bigger companies do that all the time.

The licensed body, 3 wheeler and other new models have me thinking that redcat is making enough that they want to expand and improve.
I know just a few month back they moved to a larger warehouse, so they can stock more parts....and of course, new models.

On the one hand it seems odd to make a 3 wheeler....as I doubt alot of people will buy one. But I think its more to show what Redcat can do. Same as traxxas did with the X0-1 and the funny car. Not alot of those will be sold(compared to other models) and yet they made then anyway.

that's what I was thinking only thing I can see the 3 wheeler doing is having the rear slide out on fast turns if it was RWD only, but seeing its 3wd I dunno if that will be an issue.

HPI started out similar to redcat from what I read. Hell they still take other companies RC's and slap their name on them(Recon, the hobao's, and a few more)

The solid axle monster truck wheely king style thing looks pretty cool. I'd like to see redcat come out with a scaler though... there aren't truly any RTR scaler availiable besides Axial and RC4WD, which don't come cheap.

i too wished they would have come out with a scaler.
The rs10 MOA crawler is a great rig for the money. If they could have made a scaler for the same price it could have been a hit.

No, HPI started out making pan cars, and things that were actually considered competitive. Redcat started out by cheaply cloning other cars. They're not even on the same level.

I'm still buying one of these when it comes out... ****ing 3 wheel drive man.

weird read something awhile back that said they were an importer of other brands. but meh what I read could have been wrong as I didn't really look past it any farther.


but yea kinda want 3wd RC too... might have to get one just for the hell of it

never noticed it was chronological in all honesty

actually looking at the company history they started out more like RPM making hop-ups for pan cars, and tamiyas from 86-94(when they made a F1, and a pan car neither of which manuals I saw on the site )

but will admit I had it wrrong

How is this even remotely similar to an EXO? It's a belt driven three wheel drive car.
