I've read that a direct metal-to-metal connection on the throttle linkage for a gas engine will cause electrical interference between the ignition and the radio receiver.  It's recommended to use some sort of nylon component on the linkage to insulate the connection.  Will a nylon clevis on the throttle arm of the engine work?  Will the heat from the engine effect the nylon clevis?  I'm looking for a heavy duty nylon clevis that will fit a 2-20 thread on a rod, but they're hard to find.  Is there any other solution?  Thanks

A nylon clevis will be fine.

you are correct with regard's to the plastic. You also want the connection to stay on the throttle linkage, they way you set up a nitro engine will not work.
I use a meatal ball with a 4-40 or 5-56 screw though it and a washer on top of the plastic rod end to keep the plastic link from popping off the ball.
pm me and I can send you a picture.

or these work

the plastic wheel on the servo will stop the electricity

I use a plastic ball link threaded 2-56 into a short thread then into a golden rod inner sleeve supported by the red or grey outer sleeve. A nylon clevis would be fine though I am sure. The one time I had bad RF interference was from a bad plug cap on my G38. With 2.4 and a modern EI, you should not have much to worry about with the nylon clevis.

Use a 2-56 ball link on a carbon rod or a nyrod, metal rod last choice. The RF is not as big a concern on 2.4 systems, the bigger concern you have is using a clevis, too much slop and will inconsistent idle. A clevis suggested above is wrong a BALL LINK!

Ball links on both ends, Dubro flexible metal cable with the throttle spring left engaged. Very smooth and slop free, especially with the return spring engaged.

I should have said what Pete said BALL LINKS meaning on each end. Just dont use any clevises. I agree with the throttle spring also, I usually try to unhook it and move it to the next hole so the servo drain is a little less, but I would prefer a solid rod vs. cable which has some play involved, never tried the flexible cable but not sure what advantage it would have over a straight nyrod or metal rod.

I use fiber arrow shafts and ball ends and I unhook the spring completely.
