I am having some issues with this new CRRC pro 26 engine I picked up lasy year and am just know getting around to testing it. I can get is to start OK and the low end seems good but I cannot get the engine to run up past half throttle. I have checked the carb and it seems to be working OK. I have been told to replace the stock CRRC ignition with a RCXL ignition. If I do that do I have to play around with the timing or is it just a strieght swap out Any and ll help is greatly appricated.

Thanks

The CRRC ignition had tiny primary wires on the ignition and were easy to break

Your problem seems to be a lean carburetor

I have opened the high end to over 4 turns out and it does not make any differance. Just to let you know the carb that is on my CRRC Pro 26 is the WT-747 carb and it had a factory default in it. There was a small hole that had to be drill in the carb diaphram cover to alow pressue back into the carb so it out pump full. I fixed that and it statrs up very early but no top end. That is why i was thinking it might be a defective ignition.

To answer your question.

If you know the timing is right now and the sensor connector is a Futaba connector it is a straight swap out.

If not a
Futaba connector you will have to change the sensor and sensor bracket to the one that comes with the ignition, If timing is right now just mark the center of the original sensor and install the new one in the same place.

http://www.extremepower.net  gets you Jimmy.com in Cape Town, SA. They are a domain company.

The "RC" is missing from in front of extreme.
