Status: offline 		I found an old (ca 2005) Walkera 4 at a flea market for USD10, which I could not resist. It needed some fixing but still turned out to be quite a find.

With the original transmitter it works as it should, but the feeling leaves much more to be desired. It says 35 MHz on the receiver and it came with 35 MHz crystals. I tried replacing it with my Futaba (with its 35 MHz FM frequency band module) and the Tx crystal from the Walkera. Nothing happens, it's as if I have not turned the transmitter on. Transmitter is set to PPM modulation, which should make it work. I have the throttle turned all the way down when I power it on (which works with the Walkera transmitter)

What am I missing?

And another question, which canopies are compatible with this (first gen.?) Walkera helicopter?
