I bought a used plane with a Neu Motor that has been sitting for a year or so I guess. On the third flight I noticed noise that didn't sound correct.
My question is: Is the prop backplate pressed on and I need to get a small gear puller to extract it so I can pull the motor out from the rear to grease the gears? It may be a Hyde soft mount. If anyone has the Neu manual on this operation and can post some info. that would be helpful, I couldn't find anything helpful on the Neu website.

Thanks in advance
Randy

Randy,
Yes use a small puller to get the collet off of the shaft. after that it will slide out the back of the mount..
Im sure there are how to grease the gearbox on the Electric pattern page. if not just PM me

The plane came with an extra motor that I opened up and it looks pretty simple, just clean and put new grease on the gears. ????

Yes, just clean them and make sure you get grease into the needle bearings and on the outside gear. Then a small amount
inbetween the gears where the motor goes.. Here is a link to a hacker gearbox but it will give you an idea..
