Status: offline 		I have some airplanes than have been in storage for up to 30 years. Occasionally I would take them down and clean off the caked on dust. About 5 years ago I tried something new (at least to me it was). After cleaning up the planes I layed Saran Wrap on top of anything that would catch dust. It was pretty slick because it can be pinched to make it stick to itself. I was a bit concerned of it sticking to the covering or having some reaction but it doesn't seem to. I took the dust covered wrap off last night on one the planes and it came off fine and I didn't have to get out the Windex. Hurray for lazy me! LOL Just thought I'd pass it on. Maybe everyone already does this. LOL

Status: offline 		My shop is in my basement where I do my building, it is also where I store my planes after flying season is over.. I am just starting to do the layout to build a  rack for my birds that will allow me to move them any where in my shop and keep them clean too.. I like your idea of wrapping them, noting worse then having to clean a plane just to go flying...

Wow, storage for 30 years?

You could fly the dust off of them...

Status: offline 		LOL Just getting back into it after leaving it behind after high school. Still have kits in the box to build... Kids are now the age when I left it. R/C has really changed a lot. Plus I live in suburbia now instead of out on a farm that had a paved road to fly from and soft ditches to crash in so now I'll have to find a secluded spot or club. One huge plus are these forums! It's nice to be able to chat with other R/C nuts to share failures, triumphs and knowledge (in that order).

Status: offline 		Welcome back! large garbage bags work also and they are easy to take off and put on, and when you rekit one you have one handy to clean up with

Status: offline 		Hey thanks for the tip. I store my planes hanging from the garage ceiling. They always come down very dirty. I am going to try thr plastic wrap. Seems like it will mostly solve the dust problem. Welcome back to rc. Now you have to decide on a new radio for Christmas.
