Well finally after four years of going to the Swiss Fire power demo's held every year up in the Alps, I finally got to the other side, quite simply no other place I could think of matches this location for low level togging, we started climbing at 01.00, five hours and 45 minutes to climb 10 km's starting at 5000 ft and finnishing just under 10.000ft is an experience I will never forget, talk about lack of oxygen and in places one slip and its lights out, makes the climb to the Tower side seem like a stroll and thats a 2000ft climb, will I be back next year Hell yes, got to do much better than this year.

Anyway as I've done these about five times now, I think this is as good as there get, time to start looking at the Hornets.

Can honestly say that the Tigers were oh oh so bloody close pulling inverted over us, awesome stuff

Yes, incredible photos as usual!

Also noticed maneuvering flaps/slats extended in pics 1 and 3 and the last two. Didn't realize they had them on the F-5. Those guys must have been pulling it pretty tight over the top (i.e. high AOA) for them to be extended.

Astonishing Loz, truly stunning! Pic 15 is prob the best in flight shot I've ever seen...so much going on with the vortices, etc. That guy was pulling hard as hell...look at the wing curve!

See you Thursday.

Cheers,

Dick

Only thing I recall fitting to it was a biiiiiiiiig ferry tank when we sent ex-Alconbury F-5s from Kemble to North Africa. Do a Google image search fo F-5s...sure to show you.

Normally a fuel tank is fitted to the C/L pylon, can be different sizes.
But the C/L pylon is wired for all the different bombs and rockets the F-5 can carry, except the AIM-9 Sidewinder.

Just sick pics!

Some of these look like HDR style are you doing this effect afterwards?
Id love to learn more about your camera set up to take these shots.
