New ROC LiPo batteries... or at least they are new to me.  Has anyone heard of ROC LiPo's before?  I'm hearing from my LHS that they are a pretty good battery at least so far.  I had been using Sky LiPo's until there was a rash of bad ones, cells would go bad in just a few flights!

I think it's time to switch!  However I'd like to find info on them to find which one would best fit my planes and a Google search doesn't turn up much.  So, does anyone out there know anything about these batteries?

Incidentally, here is a good video on the making of ROC batteries, at least I found it interesting:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVwRcq_AJUk

Gee, I'd have to go back and watch again.  But hey, what do you expect?  You've seen some of those Chinese manuals before haven't you?  Quite humorous!

But then this doesn't tell me much about ROC batteries.  I assume neither of you have heard of them.  I wonder how many people have.

i heard of them but not very often, this doesn't mean they are bad just means people went for other batteries.
If you google them and find no bad reviews then they should be ok, Nobody really tells you about good packs, as everyone has there own opinion whether lower cost is better than reliability. But when someone gets a bad pack it's on the net saying how junk they are.

Good point trax de max.  Well, if I get some you can bet I'll put whether they are good, bad or indifferent right here.  Not sure when I'll get some, but I'll try them out in my H9 Sopwith Camel.  I've only got one battery for it.  By the way, it has a Monster Power 46 in it and flies great on a Hyperion 4s 40C 4000 mAh battery.

Keep an eye out for updates.

Take care,
David

cool, reviews are good but some blame chargers for batteries going bad, some blame batteries for chargers going bad. When you do a review tell us what charger and run times as such. It's good to have the full info or as much as possible

Hey, thanks for the post ROC!  I will definitely be trying them out.  Next time I'm in my LHS, Madery Hobby, I'll check their stock out.

I'll be looking on your website soon to find the dimensions for a 5S 3000 - 4000 mAh 40C (min.) LiPo.  I hope you have those specs up.

Thanks,
David

Just bought a couple ROC's.  A 3s 2200 45C and a 4S 2200 30C.  I'll see how they do in the next year or so.  If I don't reply to this thread it'll mean they are doing okay or I haven't used them enough yet.
