Good to see some non-hobby coverage of what we do.
Great article from someone outside the fence.

Perhaps the description of our 'glorified airborne toys' reminds us that we
take this all too seriously sometimes!

I hate to be a pain, but it sounds like you completely made up this section of information:

The A-10 was never used in Vietnam in fact although it was introduced in 1977 ( two years after Vietnam was over) it didn't see combat until the gulf war in 1991...... Also is was never used to escort bombers. It is used for close air support for troops on the ground.

Sorry I wouldn't normally bust balls but that statement was just so far off base I thought you may want to know
