Not impressed.

Pretty stupid and dangerous and if he has an engine failure, he's a goner. Who's watching the tail?

For the sake of a toy plane

Could you please explain it to me then? It's obviously very funny and I wouldn't want to miss out on the joke.

If that is what he meant then maybe he should have said that rather than resorting to cryptic insults.

Maybe I am uptight but I wonder what the FAA would say about that video. Would they say 'what a good pilot he is?' I don't think so. It might look cool to those without any heli experience but what he was doing is extremely dangerous (and quite possibly illegal).

For a heli pilot, hovering like that is very easy but most choose not to do it for a very good reason.

You are correct sir and I respect that; however, I think most on here who commented were looking at the entertainment value

As the tail of the aircraft was not visible from the camera angle we do not know what if any obstacles were behind it, the pilot did tell his student to watch his tail during his decent.

Anyhow I do not want to get into any debates over right or wrong, the video was very entertaining and it was obvious the pilot was very comfortable in doing what he did, does that make it right? ...
