now after one year, my new warbird is ready. A Grumman Wildcat 1:4 from Fischer Germany.

It flys great and the sound with the Moki 250 is incredible

Here some photos from the maiden, sorry no photo during the flight.

Status: offline 		Great looking model! The cockpit is fantastic, with only one exception I can think of. It appears as if it's never been sat in!  You have to mess it up a tad.  A few scraps on the heel pads, and the bar the shoulder straps go around usually gets worn to the metal or primer, pretty quick. 

I'd love to see her fly!

thats for all nice answers.

@Fred: you get the retract also from Fischer, that fits perfect to the Wildcat and it works !!!

@Brad: the prop is really great. It is from SEIDEL Props in Germany. It is 32*16 3 bladed, especially for the Moki 250.

@Sam: It is a full GFK kit, but nevertheless a lot of work. I had no reference to ask for help. So I had to think of a lot of things.....some times brainwork.

Status: offline 		No, its a "Classic Glass" Wildcat. Bought the kit here on RCU. Its 1/4 scale and now ready to fly. I just dont trust my skill set at this time on the landing gear. When I get some real stick time maybe I will fly it along with the other aircraft in my hanger......unless Fred changes my mind

Status: offline 		A buddy of mine had one of those. It's been a while since he flew it. If I recall it was a decent plane but it's not 1/4 its too small for that. Maybe 1/5ish..? What engine do you have in it?

Status: offline 		wingspan 96" Length 65" roughly 30lbs and I believe a scach4.6 on a Byron 3 blade. Maybe your buddies wasnt a Classic glass kit. In the pic you see it sitting next to a Vailley P47 at I believe is 88"ws, that is 1/5th scale

Status: offline 		1/4 scale is 114 inch wingspan. Your's is closer to 1/5 than 1/4 scale (1/4.75 to be exact).

Status: offline 		Wildcats are great flyers, as a matter of fact all the Grumman birds seem to have the same flight qualities. Alot of wing area for the size plane. My fear is just in tweaking the landing gear ...... in a cross wind condition or over correcting on a takeoff role. The closest plane I fly with approximately the same landing gear configuration is my Zirolli DR I.

Status: offline 		The classic glass is 92 inch wing span, 1/5 scale I had one and crashed it. I now have a Bates 1/5 with a Saito 450. It is a bit to heavy but still a great flier.
