I know these cleaning threads are never ending but i need some help.

I don't have an air compressor to blow off any cleaning fluids or water off my buggy after cleaning it so i need something that i can spray and drench my dirty buggy in that i can shake most of it off and whats left on there will dry to an extent but will not harm the plastics or run the oil out of bearings.

So can anyone suggest a cleaning solution that will not ruin the oil in bearings and dry out and crack plastics, but will cut through grease and dirt that i can just spray, soak and spray till it eventually gets everything off?

I was thinking something like contact cleaner, or simple green mixed with metho, 50/50, will that hurt the oil in the bearings? And also WD40?

I guess i can go back after the buggy is dry and reoil all the bearings but prevention is better than the cure right?

Big thanks for any help.

I think I'm gonna try the hpi aerosol stuff because I'm not into taking the truck apart to clean it hopefully a good shot of that and some air compressor will blow it off

I can tell you from experience NOT taking apart your rig after every few runs it detremental you your rigs life. You are shortening the life of your bearings , hubs , arm pins , tranny gears. all the important parts of your rig will slowly go to crap if you take what I call the LAZY way around things. I am not calling you lazy by any means just trying to help you to stay in the hobby longer and not spend so much money.

***** Remember this in a full scale car lets say a jeep. You go off roading and you get all sorts of mud , muck and grime in and under the your jeep would you just hose it off or would you go to a carwash and power wash amm that way? In a full size car you can really see feel and hear the wear and tear on the jeep. Your bearings would Crunch and your hubs would get grind tracks in them. Things like that you can tell cause you are in the jeep you feel it. In 1/10 , 1/8 scare its is more dificult to see it cause the of the scale. But becuase it (Your RC) has plastic parts instead of metal parts they wear alot faster. I hope this helps you think about the not taking your car apart. *****

What I can tell from my experience is to keep your buggy as drier as possible, have your air filter clean and oiled, wash only the plastic body and go bash!!
But if you insist on washing the whole chassis I recomend this bike stuff:

It doesn´t attack plastic, carbon or rubber and leaves a corrosion protection coat after dried. It´s the only thing I use like every 7 months on my cars. Spray some water, spray the bike wash, wait some minutes, brush the car and spray water again to clean. Shake the water excess and let the sun do the rest of the work for you.
Remember that WD is a degreaser. So if you don´t intend to service your bearings don´t spray WD over it. Spray WD on a rag and then clean the bearings.
But as I have an air compressor this process is very quick but still I don´t wash the cars frequently.

I have used that nitroforce stuff in the can before, it works well in small amounts but if you clean the whole car with it you will use a whole 7$ can in one cleaning almost. The other thing I noticed was it does dry out the rubber parts and totally removes grease from bearings, so in that regard it doesn't fit the bill for you. I use vaseline on rubber boots and parts to keep them soft and from drying out. The other thing that irritated me was that I caused the fake chrome on my plastics rims to discolor and look crappy.
