 Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to this hobby and am now wanting to get into it more. I need some advice on chosing my first buggy!! Here are some features I am looking for

-8th scale RTR electric
-I am looking for something super durable for bashing.....the stronger the better
-fairly fast
-looks sweet
-parts are fairly easily accesible
-low maintenence

also wondering is there are any completely waterproof buggies worth buying

Any advice would be very helpful on what car I should get with what battery set up and why

-thanks for any help

     Nick

I've had great luck with my HPI Vorza. Been running it for 6 months and haven't broken a single thing except the rear body mount which I replaced with some velcro.

I bash the truck and run it at Medina Rc Raceway once a week (not on race days) I run the truck on 4s (2 2 cells) at the track and 5s (2s and 3s) bashing. It has plenty of power and it can handle 6s but it has enough power on 5s I haven't bothered running 6s.

Handles great on the track after changing the diff fluids, tires and setting up the suspension and it is the best basher I have ever owned. I currently have a 3.3 revo, a Savage X and a 2wd slash they are not as tough nor do they handle as well as my vorza. I find it extremely easy to work on compared to my other 4wd trucks. But other then tuning the diffs you won't be spending any time working on it.

Only modification I did to mine was a hobbico cs170 servo and an aluminum servo arm. Stock servo is plenty fast and strong, but I just wanted a little bit faster steering on the track

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the name brand buggies really. But if you are looking for an rtr truck that doesn't break the bank and is extremely fast and durable go with the vorza.
