Status: online 		A couple of pics illustrating my earlier comment re the Dart radial mount being compatible with the Cox reed valve mounting dimensions, plus a comparison of the Dart/Bantam radial tank mount with the Wasp/Venom one. The spigot portion of the Wasp one is the key area of difference.

Status: online 		Tis a coolish day in Sydney today, the Dart took a lot of flicking and a 7X3 prop to get any sign of life.

On the 7X3 I got a good burst, but it sounded laboured, so I switched back to a 6X3 and with the settings close to right it burst into life.

It's not the greatest powerhouse I've ever heard, but it was satisfactory, and it ran for several minutes.

So I now consider this thread done & dusted, I'll not countenance any further theories on recalcitrant engines.

Thanks to all for your encouragement and suggestions.

Status: online 		The DC went back to the owner today, after a quick demonstration run. He was delighted.

I think he now plans to finish the KK Joker for it.

As a reward, he produced a new in box A-S .55 to get that running as well.

Was a bit stiff from a million years sitting in a box, but after a bit of fuel down the guts, it felt really good.

In almost no time it was purring away on the test stand.

Owner was doubly happy.

The Nursing Home is a nice shaded area away from the flying circles, and yesterday we were able to get a bit of fuel burning done.

Apart from the little diesels mentioned, I gave the AME .049 a bit of a squeal. 6X2 APC and 30%nitro, 15%Castor. Cute! Then a newbie had an AP .15 that he wanted to give a run, fired up straight away and happily burbled along on the 30% for it's first runs.

Looks like the Nursing Home may be a semi permanent part of our "flying" activities.
