Elwyn:

A very big welcome to you, sir.

Glad to have you in RC(L)U.

We have an "Events" forum also, but as it's under "R/C Planes" you will probably get better exposure here.

Bill.

We had a pretty good first day for the contest although the wind could have been a little calmer. Unfortunately two ships did get crunched following flameouts at the top of the circle and the goofy winds up high claimed one plane. Balloon bust was very popular with 13 entries. I had some camera problems that were irritating since I enjoy photograpy almost as much as flying. The video camera wouldn't work right which turned out to be a bad(brand new) cassette that wouldn't turn and I took a bunch of action shots with the 35MM and inadvertantly knocked the F-stop to it's smallest opening. Talk about some blurry photos. Sheesh! Did manage to buy a half dozen old nylon covered 60's era combat ships for $5 each Mostly Voodoos but there's a Super Swoop and Big Iron in there too. Ought to be $5 worth of use left in 'em. Hope the old metal fuel tanks are still useable.
