Hi guys
i try to figure out which rc car for my interest is the most preferable. As in the subject written, i want to do professional filming/photography.

Stuff i need in my opinion for my new car (hopefully you can give me more advises..)

1. Place and force to carry a DSLR Cam like Canon 5D with flash
2. Ready for Offroad (more important than speed!) > so it doesn´t have to be a car, it can also be an tank or something like that
3. Waterproof electricity
4. long battery/fuel life (the more calm, the better so i guess it will be electric..)
5. Easy to handle (easy to get equipment, fix broken stuff, etc.)

Does anybody already got experience in something like this?

i preciate your help for a newbie!

regards,
Toby

EDIT: sorry for not explaining me clear. I want to install the cam on the car! So I can take pics FROM the rc car, NOT OF the rc car.
Sorry for my english

I think you are asking what rc we would recommend to take photos of?

In my opinion, the bigger the model the easier to photo.  Larger models are typically more realistic looking than smaller ones.  Larger models are also more expensive.  I'm not a pro photographer, but photography is my only hobby that I get paid for.  I think your question is too general because the photography equipment needed to shoot a 1/8 brushless on a track is quite different than what you would need to shoot a realistic battle scene with a tank or artistic rock crawler shots.

What photo equipment do you use?  Shooting fast moving rc vehicles is not easy and demands very good technique to get good pics.  Even a $5,000 dslr body using a $6,000 lens will get poor results without practice and good techniques.

I'm not going to embed photos in your thread, but will link to some off my site that I've shot.  Is this the type of photography you are talking about doing?

thank you willclark77 for the information

but you got me wrong, i want to put a cam ON the car, so i can take pic from whats around. So no battle or race scene!
sorry for not explaining me clear!

i want to rebuild a construction to put my cam on the car. and the car should be best as possible for offroad. so if you have any idea, i´d thank you for helping me!

Now to your question, i got an canon 5D with some lenses plus an flash (580EXII), so it will end up around 2-2.5 kg (i think around 4-5lbs ^^).
The car should be able to carry this, plus the center of gravitiy should be as low as possible i think, so the vehicle doesn´t flip...

Ahhhh ok.  The language barrier makes things interesting.  You're English is still better than many people who speak it natively!

A 1/5 scale rc can easily support the weight of your 5d and glass as big as a 70-200/f4.  HOWEVER, every offroad rc I have or have driven is pretty easy to flip, putting your expensive camera gear in danger.  You could look into building a rollcage for it.  Most people use GoPro cameras, but no, they do not give a "professional" look nor have that beautiful bokeh a dslr has.

Sorry that I don't have a straightforward solution.  Have you seen 1/5 scale cars/trucks in person?  The trucks, with certain bodies like the beetle body, are large enough and have enough room to fit a dslr inside of with some slight modification..  I'm not sure about your full frame 5d, but I think my smaller body 550d and a short lens like my 17-55 will fit.  I can see on one of mine when I get home from work if you want.
