It is a re-hash, I'm sure it'll be a IS-2 upper hull and turret on the KV-1/2 lower hull.  That means wrong road wheels, sprocket, and track amoung lower hull dimension inaccuracies.  Guessing Frank should expect lots of orders on his IS-2 wheels.  Still glad to see Tamiya coming out with new products, but I'm with F, like to see something british or maybe a Samoua.

It would also not be the correct dimensions. the IS-2 hull is lower, longer and thinner then the KV-1 I think Tamiya will do a lot better then that.

Is IS-2 lower hull and suspension similair to IS-3 lower hull?
Anybody produce IS-3 upper hull or turret kit in 1/16 scale?

Honestly you think Tamiya will spend 100K plus to build new molds when old molds are close enough except for the rivet counters? hmm at 100k how many tanks need to be sold before they see their investment back? me thinks it will be a rehash

The surface of the Tamiya turret kit is much smoother than my JUWA kits is.

I've never seen the tank number on the front glacis like that.

If the number on the front isn't authentic, just don't put it on?

Easily remedied with some spot putty. Finally a tank I want, and then the hint of an Early M4, WOW. Tamiya resurrection.

Not only that, it has narrower tracks and as such, is narrower overall. Does that mean we're finally seeing Tamiya come out with a VVSS conversion kit for the Sherman hull???

I'm not so sure either is correct after looking at a few JS workarounds.

Those Shermans are 1/35th. Sorry.

the JS 2 looks awesome, i want one too !!!

Guy's you don't listen ... if tamiya brings out a very scaled tank you probely couldn't pay it anyway !!!

Consider aeromate a up to scale Tiger I and Full Metal one , wich of you had bought one ? Right not many so stop complaining ... and be thankfull for what they bring out ... it cost millions to make the molds ... in 1/16 scale i say tamiya is as close to yhe scale for the price as it can be

If you want to change it be free , let us enjoy your scratchtalents if you can do better ... its just a bunch of kits here, i want this ... i want that ... its an economical crisis around he globe be thankfull they take risks with no real outcomes on the salesnumbers ... its a huge risk for them too

sorry for my boltness i think most of you agree with me though also ... please stop complaining ... its suppose to fun rc tanking

I have to admit I know little about the JS2 right now, but by the time I get finished building one I will know what is and isn't right. It won't be enough to stop me from buying it, and I am guessing there are a lot of guys like me. It looks like a nicely rendered kit. I hope people who know what the inaccuracies are aren't shy about posting them, to help guys build a more accurate version.

Re Shermans

They look bigger then 1/35 scale, but because there is no fanfare you could be right.

Karel47

I think pointing out an inaccuracy is not complaining. I like to know these things as it helps me when I go to build one. So once this gets released I am hoping guys point out what might be wrong with it.
