Little somethin' somethin' for my battlefield.  HL RX-18 board with Mako board and Hammerhead so it's Tammy compatible.  Y harnesses on channel 1 and 2 for micor servo's to elevate and traverse bazooka. Not sure yet if it should be a medium or light?  Any thoughts?

awesome!...I love this kind of stuff lol...I'd say light if you have him out in the open and medium if he's in a building and heavy if  he's in a fortification(i.e. a bunker)...just my opinion lol. I'm working on something myself....but going to use a Panther turret instead..

Outstanding! Great idea.

Nothing like sneaking, if a tank can do that, around to get a shot at the other tanks, and have some G.I.Joe ruin your day.
Be a heck of a surprise for the tankers, something they would not expect.

Great Idea! Just make sure it will not be affected or countered by slope defense being up so high.

I would vote for lights.
it will be cool when he fires and you see some flash from the bazooka inside the room.

Already taken care of.  going to use an orange LED for flash and mount it behind the dude.

DaveBcool -> RE: IR bazooka for battlefield (11/9/2012 9:57 PM)

sweet idea.
Instead of being permanently in a building, I like the idea of it being repositionable, so before a battle you could set up ambush.

I would vote for light.
Unless maybe he's Cap'n 'Merica, then he needs a shield and could be a heavy.

TheBennyB -> RE: IR bazooka for battlefield (11/9/2012 10:55 PM)

yea, 3 hits to kill definitley sounds right, but being able to fire every 3 seconds seems a little far fetched.

Green Amphibian -> RE: IR bazooka for battlefield (11/10/2012 12:24 AM)

In scale time, that would be about right. Once the blast clears you shove in another rocket, wrap the wire, tap the helmet and stay out of the way.

Yup, know those have been around for a while.  Not sure how they would work with adding servo's and such though, and if it's a stand alone system.

modeltank -> RE: IR bazooka for battlefield (11/10/2012 2:17 PM)

use the servo as the "electronic finger" to activate the firing

I love it Brett. I hope you can bring it to the next NEAD battleday. I planing on Sudnay the 18th in Westwood, NJ. It reminds me of the mine we had at Danville from Randy a while back. That bazooka would be really good in a capture the "Town" senario.

Here is a pic or two that I found of Brett as a child....as you can see he started early with weapons design. Then there are his furry friends.
