I have a kit built model of Royal Murataka Cessna L-19 "Bird dog" in 1:5th scale.

I am looking for following parts for it.

- Both wing struts
- Engine cowling
- Right side cabin door.

I have checked fiberglass specialties, Stan's fibertech and Aeroglass fiber specialties but none of them make cowling for this model.
I would even buy a new kit or parts plane from which these parts could be salvaged for my model.
If anyone has these parts and plans for this model, please PM me as I want to fly this model but I can't at this time.

I'm posting pics of complete model to show how cowling looks like, plus picture of my model in need of these parts.

Vailly offers a 1/5 L-19. Maybe his cowl will fit yours: http://vaillyaviation.com/Intro.html

Hey Terry,

Not sure, just send them email with inquiry and pics of my model, let's see what they reply.

In between if anyone got a kit or a damaged model from which these parts can be salvaged please post on here or PM me so we can get connected, Thanks

You might want to check with this guy:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=879701

He has advertised Marutaka Bird Dog cowls in the past and
has a mold.

It would not take much to carve one out of foam and glass it. Door and struts easy too. Even if you got the kit you would still have to build the parts as it is not much more than materials. A Top Flight 182 cowl might be modifiable or maybe Stan's has a Pica 182 cowl that could be a base.

Thanks Terry but i'm not one who pays "collectors value" when it comes to RC model kits..... doesn't make sense to me as they are to be build and flown, not kept in boxes as lumbar...

'
I got the reply from Roy of Vailly, he said his cowl will fit on my model but would need some modification to it.

I have asked him, what will need to be changed, so now waiting for another reply to base my decision on either to get his cowl or not.

Since you have already adapted his cowl on your model, can you tell me what was needed to be done, apart from making assess hatch...

I do not recall exactly how I modified his cowl but I do not think it was particulary difficult. Trimed with a dremel and added fiberglass cloth where needed.
Good luck with yours.
