Davie-RCU, I've been eagerly waiting for any updates on this build. How's it going? Do you have any more pics that I could drool over?

Looking real good Davie. I'm continually gobsmacked by the whole project and will probably need defrib when I see it fly.

Are you going for the fully scale flaps? It'd be an awesome sight on finals with all the 'laundry' hanging out.

Tony (In admiration of the size of the BGC and your 'nads)

Hi Tony,

Full flaps and spoilers as per full size. 40.5 degrees of flap on landing. Will post pics of them later this evening once I get to size down the pics to fit here on RCU.

Thanks Davie. Absolutely awesome.

I've always dreamed of doing a filthy wing; meaning functioning slats, flaps and spoilers. The closest I've got is spoilers with mixed ailerons and camber changing flaps on some of my gliders. After this big glider (5.2m span) and a couple of scale Spits, I think it is about time I got it done. When I worked at the airport, I managed to get a few engineers to cyclt the slat and flap systems on A320s, A300s, 757s and 747s that I worked with so that I could figure out how the big boys did it. I can't wait to put a few ideas into practice.

Your projects as well as many others, have inspired me to go for it. Thanks again and very well done.

Tony

I've got to know, what on earth do you do for a living to be able to afford to build that sucker? I can barely afford to look at the website covering it's construction.

D*mn dude, I'm a project manager for an architecture firm in Dallas, married with no kids and I don't have the funds for that. You must be a lot better at saving than me. I knew I should move to the UK to work in Architecture.
