Hi friends
Could you help me to get a WSN T34 new to buy. Shops from Germany don't want to ship to SA and I didn't see them at ebay.
Thanks!

I do not believe the Merit's are the WSN, but a TRUMPETER static version and has no outdrives at all.

I did save this link http://www.hydroponicsonline.com/store/WSN-116-RC-USSR-T34-85-Green-IR-BATTLE-TANK_370274354108.html and was going to get a 3rd T34 but funds are going to the new Tamiya. Oh, and I know NOTHING about this company or work for them at all.

Hi Mario

Does this mean you might document a T34 build like your M51? If so that would be great. I've been work on a T34 project for some time. combining the WSN lower hull and outdrives with the Trumpeter T34-85 1944 static kit. I'm at the point where the tank is fully functional and runs well so I'm just beginning to start the detail work. I really want to start on the M51 so if your going to document a T34 build I'll stop work and start on my M51 until your finished with your T34. Here are a couple of pictures of my T34. The upper hull is attached with magnets and the turret comes apart the same way.

Best regards

John

Hi John
Well thanks for your confidence with my work but I think you are doing very well by yourself. By the way I have a question for you. Is it neccesary to use the Trumpeter static to detail the WSN. I mean, is the WSN less detailed in the outside than the Trumpeter?
I had in mind that they used the same moulds, now looks like should I buy both models, RC and static?
Thanks for the help.

Mario
Thanks for your compliments as well. The WSN tank needs to be upgraded to better electronics so I used Tamiya KV1 parts. It's a lot of work using the static kit upper hull and turret and the conversion has to be well thought out. The only thing I'm not happy with is the gun elevation I came up with, is not as smooth as it should be and the recoil mechanism is too far aft limiting up elevation. Some of the exterior detail is the same between the WSN and and the static kit but I think the texture of the upper hull and turret are better in the static kit. The engine deck is definately better. When you look through the open grills you can see the louvered doors used to control airflow into the engine compartment. I'm on a trip now and will be home Sunday. I'll take some pictures of both upper hulls so you can see what I mean. I used all of the upgrade parts Dayrl Turner makes such as aluminum road arms and outdrive bearing upgrades. Having the static kit made it easier to put bearings in the roadwheels and front idlers. If you decide to combine the static kit with the WSN, I'll take pictures of anything you need. I really enjoyed reading the M51 PDF and how you modified parts and discussed tips like making welds look more realistic. If you decide to document the T34, I want to be the first in line to buy the PDF.

Best regards

John

One thing to keep in mind is that the WSN plastic is much more robust and stiffer than the Trumpeter plastic from the kits.
