Status: offline 		Hello, I have a RCG 26cc gas engine and since received it I noted a small "play" when pulling a bit the prop hub or even by the propeller, but flown many hours without any issue.A few days ago I broke the prop shaft by tighting the propeller lock nut too much, so I got a new prop shaft and after mounting it on the engine, I have noted that the play I had before still persist but now a bit more that the first time.I can pull the prop hub about 1mm.I flew the engine today and all looks fine but I need to know if that play is normal, or could be an indication of a possible engine problem or about to develop by some internal part like the bearings, etc.

It is recomended to open the engine looking for some loose part?, or even is better to replace the bearings?

Status: offline 		Sorry I missed that, anyway to much end play is in direct relation to the bearings, and the machine work. If things are off a little new bearing's won't help things out much if any, but on the other hand if it's just bearing wear a new set would fix the issue. Bearing's for these smaller engines are cheap and not hard to replace.
RC Bearings.com or Boca Bearings should have what you need.

Status: online 		The op says he has overdone things a bit re tightening the prop nut.It may have seated one of the crankshaft bearings closer to the engine case so you would expect the crankshaft to have more to and fro movement if you get fussy.If the op can grab the prop tips and wiggle the crankshaft via the prop and hear a faint Kashhing! kashing(cash)big bearing clearance sound throw the bearings mate
