Hello fellow RCers; How many hard core fliers are out there?I went out this morning after a pretty good snow fall.put the skis on the 1/4 cub and put it for about a 1/2 hour putt, was'nt to bad 20 mile per hour breeze.first flite on skis it was perfect then came in the house to thaw out and get the feeling back in my hands so I could fix a drink and watch the races,Oh the fun we have as RCers.

Some of us in the club are all-weather-flyers. Skis work well with the right plane and with the right snow but we have the most success using floats. It doesn't matter if there is a little or a lot of snow or if it is packed or fluffy. Tons -O-Fun.
We have some tank top heaters for when it gets really cold. Otherwise a nice sunny day, low winds is very enjoyable. Some of us use transmitter gloves some don't !
We have been out in some snow storms/squalls, very cold days and it's all fun BUT most of our members are fair-weather-flyers and you won't see them until spring.

Of course today was sunny a bit breezy but 70 degrees and still didn't see to many at the field.
