Hi, i'm new to Rc world.. i would like to give as a present the  Billing boats "Andrea Gail" kit, and i have a question about RC installation.
I have no idea of what is needed to make it RC, is there a recommended e

Any basic 2 channel set will provide basic forward/reverse and left/right.  Some come with servos, some don't, check the advert.  The boat will need 1 servo for steering and an electronic speed control (ESC) for ....speed control.  Pick a marine type.  Actual type will depend on the battery chosen and the motor.  If more functions are wanted, more channels are needed.
Do a google for "andrea gail model"  and somewhere past the sales pitches you should find a reference to somebody who has built one with ideas about battery size and motor choice.
