I started on my secone jet boat with the Jettec jet drive. First you nead to find the center of the reansom, then using the seal plate mark and cut out the transom. This needs to be as neat as possiable. Then check jet alignment and mark the hull. I use plastic tape and a release agent on the jet drive, then mix up body filler(Bondo) to make a bed for the jet unit to sit in, this helps hold and locates the jet drive.

Status: offline 		Mark up the bottom of the hull and cut out for the jet intake. I drill the 6 mount holes while the jet unit is held in place after the body filler has gone off. Refit jet unit and mark and clean up intake hole, sand back excess filler and recheck drive fitment.

Status: offline 		Make up and fit transom seal plate and seal, made from an inner tube from car/truck. Moulding line on jet drive will have to be sanded off for a good seal. Then I refitted the drive with a 1mm bead of Sikaflex-227 to seal the drive to hull and bolted the drive in(excess sealer will be removed after it setups up). Then fitted the end of the jet drive.

Status: offline 		Fitted the drive dogs to the drive and engine and using an alignment tool(machined from scrap alloy bar stock 2mm longer than the drive bone) positioned and alinged the engine, then drilled mount holes and mounted the engine with the bone fitted. Fitted the radio box, fitted the steering and trim adj linkages, fitted the steering rod joiner and supports.

Status: offline 		Radio box finished. Fitted carry, launch, recover, roll cage. Second one almost ready. Fitted exhaust header and pipe, fitted rear mount. Fitted fuel tank(waiting on filler port) Ready to GO.
I still have to make up the start, carry cradle.

Vid will have to wait a while, Have my daughters year 12 grad this weekend and my sisters wedding next weekend, also looking for another site as all the rain here last month destroyed the area I used to use these boats at.

Status: offline 		Hey Andrew, think we have found another small area for running the jetsprints, it has a heap of little alcoves that are shallow and there are a few places where you can jump over the bank into the next part. Should be ok when it has a little more water in it, and it is FRESH Water.
 Your builds are looking great mate.

Status: offline 		Mick, That sounds great, all the rain last month stuffed the area I used. Its now a sand bar and only about 4"-6" deep at high tide, not deep enough, may change after a while. I will just go back to the ski club, but this time of year it starts to get bissy with skiers.

Status: offline 		Looking good Andrew,  the trim is why i like having the 3rd channel radio's, so you can adjust whilst going, and also using it to trim the boat back down when doing a turn.
 But none the less you have done a great job with it.

We tend to set the jetboats up around 27% (well mine anyway)
Looks like the dog bones that Ghost is using are the swashdrive ones. jettec also make dog bone drives now.
For my hulls i am now using double ended square flex shafts and have held up very well now

I'm looking at something little longer than most so was hoping I could move my engine forward some with out alot of special drive parts
