Looking good. Will you be making plans available? The Spacewalker (Revolution II) is a great flyer. I have two 1/4 scale ones, one 1/3 scale one, and another 1/3 scale under way. Have you seen the version with a 6-cylinder C-125 engine? It's a Revolution II, tail number is N199JD and was built in 1999. What engine are you planning to use?

Replying so I can watch the build. That is going to be one big bird and it looks great already!

How did you get to the long spar and sheet lengths? Always curious to how folks are doing scarf joints and what-not to achieve these big spans.

Long spar is 3/4 Sq. and 1/4 square.. Aircraft Specialty works good for BIG wood orders!!.. as far as the sheeting, its 1/8 balsa, and 1/8 ply. plans were used for outline,,the rest is wing'n it!!..lol

Here is the new cowl. This cowl is not your typical cowl, I love the look of the DLE, so Im going to show it...the cowl will be painted inside and out, with true fire all over it. I know its hard to grasp, but wait till you see it....I dont like the way this cowl induction turned out, so im redoing it in the morning...so waittttt for ittt!!...lol

revised cowl.....and on to Carbon fiber. I'm not using Carbon fiber for beauty. I'm using it for the strength, or I would have lined up Grain of cloth. That take time...lol

Finished up on the cowl this morning. All covered in Carbon fiber, and resin the shot with 4 coats of high build primer, and sanded off 2 to get smooth...

I'm bet'n I'll have a comment about how I didn't build em right!! I used the plan for an outline, and changed the rudder and Elevators but kept the same Sq. inches so I don't lose the effectiveness of the surfaces... Giving the "evil" look I'm going for....

Well as of this morning at 10:30, The Evil Spacewalker is built, now we just need some good weather so I can start painting this thing. I have a few things to get fitted but so ready to move forward on it... The last pieces were built last night and I covered them this morning....I really needed this,,,to build an Airplane is a huge Joy for me... If you never have used Real fabric to cover an airplane, do yourself a favor, and do it!!...You can cover a baseball with this stuff, and it looks great....just make sure you have stock in #11 blades so you dont fight cutting...tons of strings suck!! here are the pics of the final steps of the build....The last one is of course the Celebration of the build..."Good luck" Beer,,and of course,,,has to be a Moosehead!!!

Stay tuned for the paint....this thing is gonna be cool!!,,,,Well,,,I hope!!!..lol

Congrats on all your progress.

Where did you pick up the fabric? Curious as to the weights available.

Its "Superflight" lightweight fabric. Its a bit more heavy than "SIG" , but i have a bigger plane. Im not to worried about the extra weight. Plane right now is at 29 lbs, i thought i was going to hit 50 so im doing real good...

Looking great. I hope you weigh it after you paint to see how much the paint adds. There is a lot of real estate there!

Well, at least in Sparks you don't need to have a shoveling party first.......
