Is there anyway to remove CA from a nylon tailwheel bearing? I was installing the rudder and tailwheel into a Pulse XT 40. The epoxy part went fine no glue got into the nylon bearing that is glued into the tail. However when I went to CA the rudder hinges, a little CA ran into the nylon bearing that holds the tailwheel. I should have used vaseline to prevent this. I can move the rudder back and forth but it is still a little sticky. I tried a few drops of oil to the tailwheel bearing and this helped a little. Is there anything else I can do? Would CA debonder work?

That or acetone might work, however, I would try it on a similar piece of material that isn't part of the plane.

sometimes heat will also loosen the bond, try a soldering iron on the wire, as you heat the wire work the tailwheel, once it breaks loose remove the heat and add some light oil into the bracket

Just redrill the hole for the wire with the correct size drill bit.

Hi!
I have answered this many times. But here we go again.
There is no better thing to use than pure nitro for loosen Ca glue. Debonder is just a waste of money and aceton takes tooooo long .
Simple as that!
All modelers should have some nitro at home!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I tried acetone, and CA debonder. I did not have any pure nitro to try. Both helped a lot. I also tried a little light oil. The rudder still slightly binds but there is not much resistance once it starts to move a little. I can't remove the tail wheel wire from the nylon joint to drill it out because of the way the tail wheel unit is made.  I think I will just fly it the way it is for now.
