Hello All,

I got an empty Eaglet 50, which has never flown. It is also not complete and missing some parts.
The Eaglet was standing for years on a loft.
I will finish it and fly the old lady, she is made for it.
Is there someone who can help me with the original plans on PDF or tiff ?
Highly apprerciate your help

Best Regards, Rolver

Lol, you almost got your entire post in the title!

Looks like a front hatch and windshield missing. Anything else?
You could make a hatch from scrap balsa, and a windshield from a soda bottle. A hair dryer will help soften the soda bottle to fit the plane.

Hello Juan,

Beside the fact that I like to have the plans for  "crash repairs  ", I have to finish the nose part.
When you can make a picture of the nose part where the engine has to come , it will be a great help.
I also don´t know where the electronics and tank have to be placed. And I should like to know where the CG is.

Best Regards,  Rolver

If you need the manual for the Eaglet you can get it from Great Planes, go to their website then click on Rc airplanes then on the right ( side ), parts and manuals, once there go all the way down the page where you will see Descontinue products then go down to G for Goldberg, you will find the Eaglet manual in PDF.

Hope this helps, Happy flying.

The tank goes behind the fire wall.

The nose had a builld up motor tray. Yoa are missing the plywwod tray that holds  the motor and two spruce square formers that go to each side to  give suport   to the motor tray. This assembly has right and down thrust.

The. Servos , rx and battery go on the cockpit area, any were according to the cg.

The cg is 25% to 30% to the length of your wing cord( measure from laeding edge to trailing edge at bottom) this number is your Mac.
Multiply the mac number times .25= your to front cg
Multiply the mac number times .30= your further aft cg

Start with cg at 25% mac, better to be nose heavy.

Will look for the plan today.

Cheers

Juan

Hello Juan,

Great information, thanks and if you have a plan................

@ Cars II : Thanks, i have downloaded and print it.

I'm really happy with this info, guys.  I think it is an easy plane to fly and because I have learned to fly with a nitro trainer this will be a very good plane for me.

Thanks again and if there is more info or photo's from details send me a pm for my mailaddress.

Best Regards, Rolver

Take a look at this thread on RC Groups, it may give you some ideas as how things go in the fuse.

Rovler:

Bad news the plan don´t exist any more. So many years ago that I build this kit. Was 15 years old then, and today 38.

You can manage with out since your plane is almost finish.

You already have glued the the spruce suports for the plywood motor mount SO YOUR DOWN THRUST IS ALREADY THERE.

You only need to build the plywood motor mount having 2.5 degrees to the right. The size of the opening depends on your motor and needs to be offset so your spinner will be at the center.

Will add a picture to gve you an idea.

Cheers,

Juan

Rolver,

You might try AMA's plans service: http://www.modelaircraft.org/plans/plans.aspx Just follow instructions to find your Eaglet 50. under "E" on the 3rd. page

I flew an Eaglet for over 6 years and taught many youngsters how to fly (stick to the low wing, he he) on it. I wore out four sets of elevator and wing servos. A failed elevator servo eventually led to the demise of my beloved Eaglet 50. I used several engines on the bird and found that the OS 32 could be squeezed into the nose, tight but do-able. I got the best performance on the Eaglet with the 32 using a gray 9x6 prop. It landed like a feather, was slow and docile like a trainer, but was highly aerobatic with the extra power. Many years ago Model Airplane News ran an article on converting the eaglet 50 to a Screaming Eagle. If I recall it consisted mostly of changing the airfoil by slightly flattening the wing ribs. Good luck with your Eaglet 50! Take your time and it will last you many years

I know this thread a couple weeks old but I have plans and if you can be VERY specific about the exact area you need I can make a .pdf file for you. Keep in mind that area MUST fit within my cheap HP 3 in 1 printer scanner bed. Max size 8.5"x11".

Now here's a shameless request. I'm finishing up my electrocuted Eaglet 50 built from plans and I'd LOVE to find a kit windshield. If you have one left over from a crash that is still usable then PLEASE PM me!

Joe

Thanks for your reply Joe,
I just got the plans this morning from someone who had them from several years ago.

Unfortunately I can not help you with the windshield, but I hope you will find one soon.
Please show a picture of your Eaglet.

Thanks again and Regards, Rolf
