Status: offline 		Does anyone know if it is possilbe with frsky and 9x or otherwise to measure the distance live that a car has travelled. I know we have RPM but what I'm hoping to get is how many times the wheels have turned and translate that into meters or miles travelled while the car is in operation.

Status: offline 		Wheel Diamater is 12cm, 78RPM Gear Ratio 1:1.

What kind of mathamagics would give me the result?

Status: offline 		So the final gear ratio is 1:1? That seems wrong
But if that's the case when the motor spins at 78 rpm the wheels will spin at 78 rpm work out the circumference by π x diameter and that will give you how far the car will go in one minute

Its not actually for a RC car its for a boat and this will be for the fishing line the RC boat will unwind. Theoretically its a very similar formula between distance traveled and fishing line unwound so I asked here.

I'm actually still looking for some help. I want to attach a gear to a servo so that for every 10 turns the fishing line wheel makes the Servo is to turn one degree. Is there any online stores I can get a 10:1 gearbox that you know of from?
