Not being fond of the rear carb setup on the LA 10 an ASP `12 carb was installed just had to take a little off the body so it would slip in drilled and tapped for retaining screw also for a tight in cowl installation the thumb screw was replaced with an allen one so I could insert a allen wrench

the title should read rear to front carb typo) It does now

I did same on my LA .10, replaced the thumb screw that is. I like the rear needle though.

Hobbsy my rear needle was very tight and hard to adjust, on the glow site there was a post the the rear needle set up was prone to bubbles to the front throttle maybe fiction
I like the fuel direct to the front no second line martin

A word on caution on this modification all Davis heads allen or thumb have a fail/safe feature ( length) to prevent lowering the contra too far even when screwed all the waydown
the length on mine was cut with a washer under the allen and spring I made sure this did not exceed the orginal Davis one when all the way in ,I also finished the end of the allen so it was nice and smooth with a nice convex shape martin
Other diesel heads do not have this important feature If you notice mine has a flat on on screw that holds the washer and the spring is under not a regular allen

Hobbsy looks like your LA a plain crankcase not blue, is this an early one?? or maybe does not show in the picture martin

I called my friend at Apex Hobbies and that is what he sent, I didn't care one way or the other. My .65 and both .46s are blue though.

well LAs are LAs they all run well color not important martin


as we know with the mild porting fair power output on glow, but really come alive as a diesel conversion
