just got a hilux high lift roller today.
trans had issues tho. 2 "E" clips were missing as well as a spacer. Model was never run, and not put together right.
I found a pair of "E" clips and uses a bushing as a spacer.
The trans will now shift, but is rough. Took be a bit, but figured out why....2 trans case braces are missing!
They are 4' threaded rod spacers which connect the front and rear trans plates. without them, the case flexes some when I try to shift the trans.

The manual calls the part BA36 (bag ID is BA) and says they are plate stays.

But no matter how I search on tamiya's site or on ebay, I cannot find the part....or the bag it would be in for that matter.

Any ideas guys? Is it me, or is tamiya's site hard to search on? Seems like the search engine comes up with a ton of stuff...non of which is even related to the hilux!

Tamiyas search I dread using about as much as the search on this site seeing neither give relevant results.
I remember when I needed a chassis for my DF-02, and a body it took me like 25 mins to find them WITH the part #'s.

Just looking for ya,

Is it the bottom 2 shafts from plate to plate that are the same as the top shafts from plate to plate?
in the Tundra manual it lists them as BA16 And BA36 is the plates?

By the looks u need metal bag B 9400457

yep thats looks to be the right parts bag.
wish I could find one in the USA.

sucks to, cause Im parting out the truck. Trans can go for $130 shipped on ebay....but if I got to spend $30 for parts to make the trans complete that kinda cuts into profits!
I put that part # into tamiya's search. I got 1 result, but it didnt have a picture or description....and it was $50.

Oh well. At least I have some parts numbers now. thanx phmaximus.
