Hi everybody,

After recieved my new ys 170dz i wanted to be sure that i connect everything right ,,
as is shows in the manual seems that the "air fuel line" connects to nothing == which i understand that this engine not works on pressure on the fuel tank ( or am i wrong? )

i add a picture of my connection right now , i add a "T" connector to the fuel line ,, which goes one to the Fuel dot - open this dot so it able me to know when the fuel tank is full....
and one goes to the "Check valve" which enable the tank get some fresh air outside and fuel will not "shrink" because of the pump works...

now, the fuel line , goes to 2 dots connection , so i can "cut the line " between the engine to the fuel tank so i enable the fuel enters to the tank without flood the engine ...
between the connection as its wrote in the manual i add a fuel filter before its enter to the pump...

-=-

im not sure about that connection,, i cant find any information about the connection of the "check valve" what is the best way for that ,and is that right that this engine - ys 170dz doesnt need additional pressure on the fuel tank to wrok and only with the pump way?

Thanks for the helpers

I have the same setup with my YS170. Two fuel dots, one in the overflow line & one in the feed line. At the end of the overflow fit your oneway valve. It should be installed so it lets air into the tank. I check this by fitting a unused bit of tubing to one end of the oneway valve, and sucking air in my mouth. If it allows air in, then thats the end to the overflow tank pipe. Only two pipes needed to the tank, overflow & feed. The tank I use is a Tetra 20 oz.

There is no additional pressure needed for the 170, It's a pumped engine.

When I fill the tank, I clamp the silicone pipe inbetween the pump and fuel dot with a long nosed pair of surgical scissors clamp. This will prevent fuel being forced back into the engine when you fill the tank, I also clamp the pipe through the cowl as soon as I land. Theres a commercial items avaliable you can buy that allow you to clamp the fuel line from outside the cowl. I'm sure Central Hobbies have them.

Mike
