A couple weeks ago I traded a Mamba Monster 2200 brushless system for an HPI Savage. I just got around to testing it tonight. I haven't run nitro in nearly a year. I have been running brushless ever since. I still had my fuel mixing stuff (methanol, 100% nitro and pure castor oil) so i mixe a half quart of 20%.I found the old rotostart shaft that has bee sitting on my workbench for i don't know how long. then I just had to find my glow igniter. Found it! I had grown tired of fiddling with nitro engines and the ease of brushless pushed me over the edge. I just sold off the last of my ntiro stuff about a month ago and thought I was out of nitro for good. But when it fired up and started running it got my blood boiling again! I got it to resell, but now I kind of want to keep it! Or trade it for another nitro truggy! There is something about the sound of nitro. The power was less than impressive (compared to brushless) but Nitro is just a different kind of fun!

Not yet. I would love to get my hands on a Losi 5IVE or 4x4 FG!

D.amn right about nitro. It's a heavy metal concert compared to a night in the library that is electric...

Not exactly where I was going with this. Lets not turn this into a nitro vs. electric debate. There have been too many of those already.

I like the way most nitro cars come with tuned exhausts now, my first nitro had a muffler can, it was first thing I replaced.

I had mine out this weekend......25F both started right up and ran great. Broke them both doing long jumps at those temps. Broke the engine mount, gas tank mount on the savage landed right on the engine from 25 feet up. Had about 80 feet of length to the jump and over rotated to death landing. Hyper 7 truggy conversion got the same treatment and suffered a broken diff housing and rear shock tower. Hyper 7 snuffed out the engine on landing, while the savage was still running and had to be shut down.

Do you ever have to worry about Lipos freezing? I left mine in my bump box this past weekend and it's been sitting in the garage. Temp have been sub 30F durring the day and it was only 14F this morning. Since were kinda talkin bout both...... I am sure it is a different situation if it's just sitting idle in the cold verses running and building heat in the pack....I always kept them in the house till this summer when I moved my hobby area to the garage. Winter sucks

I don't run electrics., but I feel the same way after running my baja for 3 or 4 months in a row without even looking at my nitro cars.
I love my baja... but theres nothing that will put a smile on my face like nitro's do.
