Hello I am a new member and new to the RC Helicopter world and have a question about a knob/dial on my generic controller for my Alloy King Helicopter.  It is a 3 or 3.5 channel remote and on the face of the upper right side of the remote there is an unlabeled knob.   I have yet to figure out what it does (the directions don’t address the knob), would any of you have an idea of what it might be for?  I am still trying to figure out how to get the trim set and can’t help but think that maybe this knob may control some feature that is supposed to assist with trim control…  Thank you for your time and help J

Kevin

Most likely it is trim for the "yaw"(left or right movement on the horizontal axis).

Meaning if you lift off and the heli wants to just spin on its axis right or left...you move the knob in the opposite direction until the heli doesnt move around any more.

If you move the knob with no effects, it could be a "dummy" knob.  Meaning it does nothing and is probably a left over knob on the transmitter that they used for a nother heli/plane that did use it.  But still, there should be a trim for the yaw...and I would guess that this is it since its a knob and not a button.  Most all of the 3ch co-axial helis I have seen use a knob for yaw trim.
